Holistic Scoring
In authentic assessment, rather than using comptuers to score multiple choice test, a standards based assessmnet uses trained scorers to score poen-response items using holistic scoring methods.
The scorer si instead, instruct to judge holistically whether as a whole is it more a 2 ro a 3 . Critics questino whether such a process can be as objective as computer scoring, and the degree to which such scoring methods can resutl in different scores from difefrent scorers.
